Heather began dancing at the age of 4 with Baker School of Dance, where she studied tap, ballet, pointe, jazz, and clogging until graduating from North Johnston High School. While in high school, Heather also began performing with the East Country Hoedowners of Wilson, NC. Upon graduation from high school, Heather attended Mars Hill College, and danced with the nationally known Bailey Mountain Cloggers and taught at Double Step Studio. While at college Heather was able to perform in the movie, "Smokey and the Bandit: The Bandit goes Country" and performed as a Saloon Girl at Ghost Town in the Sky in Maggie Valley, NC. Heather began the Johnston County Cloggers in 1995 and they developed into Twinkle Toes Dance Studio in 2002.
Heather is a devoted mother and wife. She resides in Smithfield, NC with her husband Jonathan and daughter, Daisy.
Jamie has been dancing for 24 of her 27 years of life. She first started dancing at age 3 with Baker's School of Dance in Pine Level, NC, where she was trained in Tap, Ballet, Jazz, and Clogging until age 11. At age 9 she traveled to Wilson, NC to dance with the East Country Hoedowners and learn a new form of clogging (mountain/buck). While learning a more traditional style of clogging, Jamie was introduced to Emerald Studios and Double Step Studio, where she became a dancer and assistant teacher. In 1995, she danced with the Johnston County Cloggers and helped to form a new group of dancers in her hometown.
After graduating from North Johnston High School, Jamie received a scholarship to dance with the internationally-known Bailey Mountain Cloggers (BMC) of Mars Hill College. Jamie was a part of BMC while they won their 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th National Titles. After graduation from college with a bachelors degree in Political Science and Sociology, she attended Western Carolina University where she received a Masters of Public Affairs. Jamie was a performer for the Stompin' Ground in Maggie Valley, NC from 2003-2005 and helped teach a clogging workshop on the Norweign Cruise Line in 2003.
Since leaving the Bailey Mountain Cloggers, Jamie began dancing with Xtreme Dance Company in Abingdon, VA. While dancing with Xtreme, Jamie furthered her love for clogging and began to study Hip Hop. She also had the chance to participate in the San Francisco Hip Hop Festival in 2005. In 2006, Jamie had the chance to judge the Jr. Olympics in Clogging. And in 2007, while in New York, Jamie got to dance at the Dancers Responding to Aids benefit concert (in January) and entertained at the NY Knicks pre-game show (in April).
Jamie also won the Overall Female Solo Grand Champion award at the Southern Sweethearts Clogging Championships in February 2007 and at the Orange County Clogging Competition in July 2007. From 2006 until 2008, Jamie danced and instructed the Peanut City Cloggers of Suffolk, VA.
Recently, Jamie choreographed a Clogging Talent Routine for the 1st runner-up in the 2009 Miss NC pageant. She won the Talent Award on Tuesday night Prelims.
Jamie has been choreographing talent routines for pageant girls for the past 8 years.
Jamie has been instructing classes at Twinkle Toes for the past 4 years.
She currently resides in Kenly with her husband, Bryan.
